The Science Of Meditation
Learn the science behind meditation and what the steps are so you can experience a deeper state of consciousness no matter what method you are practicing.
Dharana Meditation Practice Series 1 - Prana Awareness
Use your breath as a focus point to start the process of slowing down the mind activity. The breath is directly connected to all physiological aspects of your inner system which also helps to slow down the heart rate and blood pressure. In this new state of pranic awareness, you will be connecting your physical prana (life force energy) to the Cosmic Prana opening the doorway to experiencing universal consciousness.
Dharana Meditation Practice Series 2 - So Hum
'Sohum' is the sound produced by the movement of the breath. The pulsation of prana within the breath emits the subtle sound of So during inhalation and Hum during exhalation. Every living being performs this japa, this mantra repetition with every breath. Connect with this universal vibration allowing it to take you even deeper into meditation.
Dharana Meditation Practice Series 3 - Trataka
Learn the mind stilling practice of trataka (steady gazing) and journey into deep states of mediation. Also a great practice for this suffering from insomnia or restless sleep.
